The Ream

Hey so in case you don’t know, my tumblr is actually called “The Ream” with intentional double entendre. (you have to see it to get the joke).

It’s a companion blog to turkeydinner.net (which is in stasis, but I hear promises of content the likes the Internet hasn’t seen since only dorks knew what the Internet was; back when it was good).

Anyway I added infinite scrolling (just scroll away… FOREVER*), and tags.

And for all this, my Tumblarity went down 15 points!

The act of posting a youtube clip in it of itself does not make it a “meme”.
A sequel is not a “remake”.
A song cover is not a remix or even a “mash-up.”

Honest Questions about Popular Culture in the Year of Our Lord, 2009.

So, uh, VMAs. Still? I thought no one made/cared about music videos anymore (at least on television)
New York blogs (gawker and not), does anyone outside of NYC care about these? Ok, cool, didn’t think so.
If no one listens to the radio anymore and MTV doesn’t actually play any music, how come people know who is and listen to the likes of Lady Gaga and are aware that Kanye and Beyonce still make albums (apparently)?
Anyone else think the mainstream version of Twitter just shows us that far too many people still care about a) TV and b) Reality TV? And are you embarrassed by this?

I am being very serious here.
